Transition Process
At Alford Primary School we are committed to doing everything we can ensure that children settle into their new surroundings as easily and happily as possible.
We work extremely closely with our local pre-schools and are part of the Lincolnshire Transition Project, where our transition puppet Louis is used effectively to help children with the transition to School.
A copy of our special ‘All About School’ book is sent to each (pre-school) setting. We also have a special online animated version of our ‘Starting School Transition Book’ which can be watched here.
